Dr. Erzsébet Mihalik (1949-2021)

We became one less.
Dr. Erzsébet Mihalik, one of the first members of the Society and its board member for several cycles, retired associate professor of the Department of Plant Biology of SZTE, head of the former Department of Botany (1996-2007), and former director of the Botanical Garden of SZTE (1996-2013), has passed.

She participated in our last conference held in Siófok in 2019, because being among us meant a spiritual refreshment for her. She never failed to express her joy when she met new talented young people among the speakers of the conference. We cannot enjoy her distinctive voice and humor anymore.
We have to say goodbye to her, but for those who knew her or heard her lectures, she certainly won’t be forgotten.
