This year’s conference of our society will take place from 7-9 May 2025 at the Hotel Panoráma in Siófok.
We are honoured to have accepted the invitation of ERC award winner Valentin Nagerl from Bordeaux, who has used super-resolution microscopy with exceptional results in his neuroscience research, and to hear a presentation on the latest developments and results of the laboratory of Gábor Dénes award winner Krisztián Szigeti, equipped with state-of-the-art techniques (MRI, CT, SPECT, PET, OI).
There will also be an opportunity for our young microscopists to win the Young Researcher Award. The grant (300€) will be used to contribute to the registration fee for the MCM17 conference in Portoroz (7-12 September 2025).

We expect to have two special sessions on Thursday, the second day of our conference.
In the morning, invited speakers will talk about the achievements of in situ transmission electron microscopy, which was introduced at the MFA just 61 years ago, and in the afternoon we will attend the 2025 Árpád Barna Prize results announcement and hear the winners’ presentations.
There will of course be a wine tasting on Wednesday evening, and on Thursday evening, after the short general assembly, there will be the opportunity for great discussions, which could even lead to joint projects.
As always, we have tried to keep the quality of the conference as high as possible and the cost of participation as low as possible. For the first time this year, everyone will receive two invoices.
The registration fee of 50 000 Ft will be invoiced by HSM and you will pay for the accommodation for the hotel. (The total amount is about 140 000 for single and 115 000 Ft/person for double occupancy for 2 nights.) Daily ticket is 25 000EFt).
Further details will be available on our new website on 15 February 2025, the day of registration for the conference opens.
As usual, you have to submit the title and abstract of your presentations in English and in Hungarian. The application form will also include the formal requirements.
