Ifat Kaplan-Ashiri (WIS), Lothar Houben (WIS), Tali Dadosh (WIS) and Natalie Elia (BGU)The scientific committee representatives of ISM are glad to inform you that the Microscopical Society of Canada, the Royal Microscopical Society (UK) and the Israel Society for Microscopy initiated with the support of the International Federation of Societies for Microscopy (IFSM) an international networking platform for expanding knowledge, sharing new developments, and exchanging best practices related to microscopy.
The first joint project is a webinar series featuring microscopists who have defined the field of modern microscopy by their groundbreaking work. Webinar content is open to all members of all national societies for microscopy, and new members are encouraged to join our quest to promote and expand excellent microscopy worldwide. for more general information about the lecture series you are welcome to visit this website.
The inaugural lecture/interview which will be on October 26th at 18:00 IDT, will be given by Professor Sir Peter Hirsch, and the title of his talk will be “A brief history of the impact of Transmission Electron Microscopy on Materials Science“.
